Mark Benham

Mark Benham holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from East Texas State in Commerce, Texas (now part of the Texas A&M system). His work is instantly recognizable for its high level of detail and vibrant use of color: "super color." Mark works primarily in watercolor and acrylic. His paintings range from the fully abstract to recognizable imagery, often symbolic, with a surreal edge. Mark is an avid guitar player, and if you look closely you may find references to the guitar in some of his works. Mark Benham's unique and original creations have been exhibited (including several one-person shows) in Houston, San Antonio and San Marcos.
